| An accurate delineation of the Great Roads both direct and cross throughout England & Wales. According to the Advertisement this book is the 2nd Edn, thus 1802. There is no title page only t he dedication and adverts, however, the map at front of book is dd 1803! and includes roads in Scotland as far as Glasgow and Edinburgh and beyond. see pp 321-4. The cross roads map is dd 1892 therefo re this book is possibly late impression (1802) of the Second Edn. The book is an xlibrary copy and bears cancellation marks on front Map and reverse of dedication. The book has been recased in mottle d paper boards with half-calf to spine & corners. New end papers in hand made paper, sympathetic to original. Some browning to pp with some foxing. Offered as is - a piece of history in your hand | |||
